Today, the Massachusetts House of Representatives restored funding to important statewide priorities and initiatives, including monies for the pediatric palliative care and MassHealth to ensure full funding of the projected caseload while House members continue to evaluate MassHealth reform. This returns funding for these state programs to Conference Committee funding levels. In July, the House took steps to ensure the Conference Committee budget was balanced and sustainable. The House will continue to monitor state fiscal trends.
Overall, 62 line items were overridden - $274.9 million in gross spending. After accounting for federal revenues, this amounts to $147 million in net spending.
