Today, the Massachusetts House of Representatives continued to restore funding to important initiatives and programs by overriding the
Governor's vetoes. A vote to override these vetoes returns funding for these state programs to Conference Committee levels. In July, with bipartisan approval, the House passed a balanced and sustainable Conference Committee budget. We will continue to monitor state fiscal trends to ensure the Commonwealth remains on sound fiscal footing.
Overall, the House overrode 58 vetoes - 50 line-items and 8 outside sections/amendments - for a total of $9.3 million restored to the budget.
