Representative Jeffrey Sánchez promotes a "practical progressive" agenda that works to make our neighborhoods stronger and healthier. He is informed by the values instilled in him growing up in the community and by the conversations he has with community members on a daily basis.

His priorities include universal healthcare, affordable housing, violence prevention, public safety, and equality for all. He also supports investments in the environment and clean energy. Representative Sánchez has been on the forefront of healthcare policy in Massachusetts, working closely on healthcare reform that has ensured coverage for 98% of the state's population. As Chair of both the Public Health and Health Care Financing committees, he has taken a thoughtful, data-driven approach to craft health policy that limits costs, increases access, and ensures quality.

He has championed the strongest, common-sense gun control laws in the country while fighting for marriage equality and transgender civil rights. He is a supporter of early education and initiatives that close the achievement gap for minorities, English language learners, and students with disabilities. The Representative favors reforming the criminal justice system to help those entering back into society and by addressing the underlying factors that cause violence and crime.
