JOINT STATEMENT ON FY2019 BUDGET AGREEMENT FROM WAYS & MEANS CHAIRS
"The Conference Committee on the FY2019 Budget has reached an agreement. The $41.88B Conference Report honors our commitment to programs that improve the lives of people across Massachusetts. Together, we have agreed on a budget that meets people where they are in their lives, supports the most vulnerable amongst us, and ensures our economy grows for the benefit of all residents. It also reflects our continued belief that we have a responsibility to be careful stewards of taxpayer dollars, directing a significant deposit into our stabilization fund to bring the total amount over $2 billion by the end of Fiscal Year 2019."

House Way and Means Proposal
The House Ways and Mean FY19 Budget Proposal is all about people. It's about making sure we help the most vulnerable among us, so they so they can follow their dreams. As a commonwealth, we have committed ourselves to certain principles, and this budget ensures we carry through on those commitments: local aid, early education and care, substance use disorder funding, housing and homelessness, criminal justice reform, the environment, mental health, and so much more.
