Starting Tuesday, August 23 State Representative Jeffrey Sánchez, in partnership with the MCPHS University, Northeastern University, and Tufts University, will host the eleventh annual Back to School Jam over the course of three days in Jamaica Plain, Brookline, and Mission Hill next week, respectively.
With the help of Visiting Nurses Association, AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Novo Nordisk, Atrius Health, and other community health organizations, the event will feature health screenings, as well as public health resource tables. This event will also include food, live music, and school supply raffles for children.
“This is always one of my favorite events of the year,” said Sánchez. “It gets students excited to go back to school, and provides them with school supplies and health screenings to help turn that excitement into success.”
