State Representative Jeffrey Sánchez has hired Amanda Alvarez Villot as a legislative aide in his office. Originally from Philadelphia, she will serve as Representative Sánchez’s point person for Jamaica Plain and Roslindale, and will also conduct legislative research in the State House. Alvarez, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, will serve as a liaison between the community and the State House.
“Amanda is an incredibly hard worker,” said Representative Sánchez. “She is quickly becoming an important part of my district team, helping me to continue to serve Jamaica Plain and Roslindale.”
Alvarez moved to Boston to attend Boston University, where she studied public relations, advertising, and applied communication. She looks to bring her experience growing up in Philadelphia to the job in the 15th Suffolk District.
“I love learning and I’m extremely excited to start working in the neighborhood and meeting members of the community,” Alvarez said before attending her first meeting in JP.
