Connecting Hispanic Communities across the Commonwealth
Springfield-Representative Jeffrey Sánchez (Jamaica Plain) will be joining Representative Coakley-Rivera (Springfield) for a city-wide tour of the Springfield hospitals and the business district. This visit will serve as an instrument to bring the Hispanic communities of Boston and Springfield closer together while bringing their shared problems and successes to light. The Representatives and their staff will attend a neighborhood initiative meeting, tour the Brightwood Community Health Center and Mercy Hospital, and meet with many of the leaders of the business district.
“I am thrilled to be visiting the Hispanic community of Springfield with my colleague Representative Coakley-Rivera.” Representative Sánchez stated, “The Hispanic communities of Boston and Springfield have many things in common and it is my hope that through this visit we will be able to learn more about each other and work together for all of the Hispanic communities throughout the Commonwealth.
This visit will take place on Thursday April 5, 2012.
