From JP, To Flint: Flint Water Drive

From JP, To Flint: Flint Water Drive

As we all have seen recently, our brothers and sisters in Flint, Michigan are going through hardships of unprecedented proportions. Water is an undeniable human right. No human being should have to be subjected to drinking polluted water, especially in one of the wealthiest countries in the world.

Representative Jeffrey Sánchez has teamed up with the Union of Minority Neighborhoods, a Boston-based social justice organization, to reach out to our friends, families, and neighbors to pull our resources together to send assistance to our friends in Flint. We will be raising money to purchase water and collecting donations of bottled water to send to Flint.

We ask you to bring cases of water to our event in Jamaica Plain, on the morning of Saturday, February 20th at First Baptist Church in JP. We will be hosting this donation site from 9am to noon and encourage all of our neighbors to come together to help a community in need by donating water, baby formula, wipes, and water filters. If you cannot make it to the event, consider donating online to help the cause.
